IMO is the expert on ISC-internal control systems for smallholder certification. IMO was on the forefront of developing ICS certification systems globally and has successfully certified a lot of different projects all over Africa.
In many African Countries IMO certified Producers don’t need an organic import authorisation for imports into the European Union.
 

Active in Ethiopia and far beyond

IMO Ethiopia representation is active not only in Ethiopia itself but also frequently in surrounding countries like e.g. Tanzania, Kenya, DR Congo and Rwanda together with colleagues from those countries: We cooperate closely with our colleagues in the respective countries to offer you the best service possible.

Certificates are issued according our audit reports by IMO Headoffice in Switzerland, accredited for many important standards in the food sector.

Service &  Activities

Our core activity are audits according the EU organic standard, NOP (US organic) and JAS (Japanese organic) as well as UTZ Certified Audits for Code of Conduct and Chain of Custody in all crops available.
Additionally we can also offer inspection services according various organic and sustainability standards like Naturland, Demeter and Bio Suisse amongst others.
Of especial interest for our clients are also the Fair for Life Standard and Audits of Wild Collection Projects.
Please also get in touch with us if you are interested in inspection according Rainforest Alliance/SAN standard: We also have accredited inspectors for these standards (also in Ethiopia) and can offer you a competitive service, especially for combined audits for different standards at the same time.
