List of accreditations

As certification is subject to supervision, control bodies are themselves regularly audited by relevant authorities and official organizations for compliance of their procedures: this is called the accreditation process.

Our world-wide activities are accredited by the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) according to ISO/IEC 17020 and EN 45011 (ISO 65), which is the international standard for certification requiring independence, competence and impartiality. The last audits confirm the high qualifications of IMO’s inspectors and the efficiency of IMO’s worldwide quality management system.

Furthermore, the overall high quality of IMO’s performance in various contries is continuously monitored and acknowledged by the German Accreditation System for Testing (DAKKS), the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture (MAFF), the Accreditation Services International (ASI) for MSC and FSC and many other private label schemes.

The EU Commission has officially recognized IMO as control body for the purpose of equivalence (Regulation (EU) 508/2012). IMO has been approved in more than 60 countries as equivalent and is recognized for all product categories, with exception of processed feed, like plant and animal production (including Bees), aquaculture, processing and seed production.
