Input Verification Program
Regarding the organic principles, soil fertilisation and plant protection has to be based on the choice of appropriate varieties, appropriate crop rotation programs, sustainable soil cultivation and protection of natural enemies of pests. In the case that these measures do not ensure adequate soil fertility and sufficient pest control, commercial farm inputs may be used if in accordance with the respective standards and regulations. Among the tremendous choice of commercial products it is, however, hard to assess whether a specific product actually may be used.
