Off-Farm Inputs Certification by IMO
To meet the high quality requirements of off-farm inputs for use in organic farming, IMO offers the certification of off-farm inputs.
The IMO off-farm inputs team, in collaboration with the IMO local representative offices in your country, offers an annual on-site inspection of the processing, storage and labelling facilities of the off-farm inputs manufacturer. The control requirements are analogous to those outlined in the applicable set of standards (EU Reg. (EC) 834/07 and 889/08, USDA NOP Final Rule, 7 CFR Part 105 and JAS organic standard) and based on the IMO Standard.
Based on all information provided by the client and confirmed during the inspection, IMO evaluates whether the products are in compliance with the requirements of the relevant standards.
A document stating the compliance of the approved products for use in organic farming according to the requested standards is issued by IMO. A certificate states the compliance of the products with the requirements for off-farm inputs of the EU Regulation (EC) 834/07 and 889/08 and a confirmation/approval document states the compliance of the products with the requirements for off-farm inputs of the USDA NOP Final Rule, 7 CFR Part 105 and the JAS organic standard.
