Also processing of wine can be certified according to the processsing rules of mentioned EU Regulations but with the exception that Annex VIII Part A and B as well as Annex IX of Regulation (EC) N° 834/2007 and (EC) N° 889/2008 (ingredients and processing aids for processed products) is not applicable for wines.

Processing aids and ingredients as well as any other enological procedure are not subject to the Annex VIII Part A and B as well as Annex IX of Regulation (EC) N° 834/2007 and (EC) N° 889/2008. The compliance with EU valid enological standards is checked on the basis of the enological practices and processes listed in Annex IV of the Council Regulation (EC) No 1493/1999 of 17 May 1999 on the common organisation of the market in wine.

On the label of wine produced according to the above mentioned requirements may be labelled as "wine made from organically grown grapes" or as "wine made from grapes under conversion to organic agriculture".
