MSC environmental standard for sustainable fishing is the leading eco-labelling programme for wild capture fisheries around the world. The eco-label stands for responsible and sustainable fishing practices. The MSC fishery certification programme can improve access to the new emerging markets, confirm sustainable fishing practices, and protect the environment. More than 450 retail products in 26 countries carry the MSC eco-label.

MSC Chain of Custody standard for seafood traceability ensures that the MSC labelled product consists of MSC Fishery certified aquatic products and is part of an audited supply chain which is fully traceable. Nowadays, from processors to restaurants, diverse ranges of businesses are applying their practices MSC Chain of Custody standard.
