Short history

 Naturland - Association for Organic Agriculture was established in 1982 in Gräfelfing, near Munich, Germany as an ASsociation of German Organic Farmers. It has grown to become one of the most important organisations in the field of organic agriculture in Germany and is offering Naturland certification since many years also to international operators.

Scope / What needs to be certified

Naturland standards cover the following actiivties:
  • Organic agricultural production and processing  (incl. livestock, mushrooms, wine, wild products, ornamental plants)
  • Organic Aquaculture
  • Organic Forest management
  • Organic Beekeeping
 

Labels

Only Naturland certified products may be labelled with the Naturland seal, i.e. only products which were produced and handled by operations which are members of Naturland and have been granted Naturland certification.

IMO and Naturland cooperate since many years.
